Obituaries

Martha Polk Ramsey, age 79, of 973 Royal Drive in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, February 24, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Boger City Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Bigham officiating.   Burial will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 pm prior to the service at the church. 

Mrs. Ramsey was born January 3, 1934 in Gaston County to the late Thomas Brady and Eula Kezziah Polk.   She worked in food service.   Martha was a member of Boger City Baptist Church for twenty years where she participated in the Golden Voices and the church choir.  She also enjoyed crafts, working puzzles, and reading. 

She is survived by her husband, W. Gordon Ramsey of the home; a son, John Wayne Ramsey and wife Debra of Matthews; three daughters, Donna Henson and husband Tony of Belmont, Nancy Watt and husband Lee and Pamela Jordan, all of Rock Hill; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
