Pearl Lillian Leatherman Turner, age 96, of 765 Mosteller Lane in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, February 26, 2013.

Funeral services will be private

Mrs. Turner was born March 19, 1916 in Lincoln County to the late Rufus and Minne Workman Leatherman.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry William Turner.   She worked as a knitter in textiles. 

She is survived by a daughter, Ruby Turner Easley of Lincolnton; a sister, Shirley Beal of Maiden; grandchildren, Darin Lawing and Shamra Sturgis, both of Lincolnton, Jane Bridges of Georgia, and Crystal Smallwood of Florida; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
