Obituaries

Mr. Willard Calvin Leatherman, age 86, of 4218 Leatherman Road in Vale, died on Friday, March 8, 2013.

His funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Macedonia Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jerry Willis officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service.  Visitation will be from 6:30 until 8:30 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Leatherman was born June 28, 1926 in Lincoln County to the late Ernest Leatherman and Rosie Elizabeth Kerley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Hester Mae Hubbard Leatherman, a daughter, Patricia L. Owensby, and one granddaughter. 

He is survived by three sons, Dennis Calvin Leatherman, Arland Lee Leatherman, and Darrell Wayne Leatherman, all of Vale; three daughters, Pamela L. Smith of Vale, Carolyn L. Stamey of Denver, and Barbara L. Hopper of Vale; one sister, Virginia Hendrix of Brushy Mount; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
