Obituaries

Betty Lou Heafner Houser, age 82, of 619 E. McBee Street in Lincolnton, died on March 25, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 4:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Bethphage Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Houser was born January 27, 1931 in Lincoln County to the late Jess and Ola Mauney Heafner.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Joey Miller Houser and two sisters, Bernice McAllister and Allie Sue Abernethy.  Mrs. Houser worked as a telephone operator for BellSouth.

She is survived by her husband, Fred M. Houser of the home; one son, Larry Trent Houser and wife Jeanne of Lincolnton; one sister, Jessie Bradshaw of Summerville, SC; three nephews, Tim Abernethy, Timothy Paul Houser, and Nathan Houser; three nieces, Vickie Mauney, Wanda Banks, and Gayle Houser; and a brother-in-law, Paul C. Houser and wife Joyce of Lincolnton.
