Hazelene Conner Brown, age 85, of Stanley Total Living Center, and formerly of 138 Woodvale Circle in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, March 28, 2013.
Her funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kathy McAbee officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brown was born July 7, 1927 in Iredell County to the late George W. and Myrtle Ballard Conner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jackson “Jack” Brown and a brother, Wayne Conner. She worked as the office manager for WLON in Lincolnton which she and her husband founded.
She is survived by a daughter, Betsy Brown Freeman of Lincolnton; three brothers, Hugh C. Conner of Raleigh, and Dr. Joel D. Conner and Paul N. Conner, both of Gastonia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church, 520 S. Madison Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
