Mrs. Madielene Patricia Ross Owenby, age 80, of 111 Starlight Drive, Lincolnton, NC died Friday, April 5, 2013.

A graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, NC with Rev. Tim Goates officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton, NC.

Mrs. Owenby was born on May 19, 1932 in Cherokee County, NC and was the daughter of the late Virgil Ross and Grace Goree Morris. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shellie Parton and one sister, Betty Self.  Mrs. Owenby was retired from the textile industry.

She is survived by her husband, Dan Owenby of Charlotte; three daughters, Deborah Stouffer of Lincolnton, Janice Armstrong of Belmont and Judy Ware of Bessemer City; two sisters, Helen Dietz of Hayesville, NC and Jo Ann Hackler of Cherryville; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and a special niece, Mary Reynolds of Charleston, SC.
