Lillian Richardson Engelhardt was born February 5, 1928 in Pine Falls, Manitoba, Canada. She was the daughter of Henry Woychyshyn/Richardson and Mary Samorodny. She died on April 17, 2013 in Lincolnton, North Carolina. She grew up in Pine Falls, Manitoba, Canada and graduated from Grace Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Grace Memorial Hospital serving as a Registered Nurse and later serving as head nurse of the Maternity Ward. She also worked at Crowell Hospital in Lincolnton, North Carolina then later as private nurse for Dr. Crowell. In later years she retired to private nursing. She is survived by son Keith Engelhardt and wife Beth of Trotwood, Ohio, Frank Kenneth Engelhardt and wife Andrea of Gastonia, Donald Engelhardt and wife Tammy of Maiden, grandchildren Chris Engelhardt of Lowell, Mike Engelhardt and wife Melissa of Cramerton, Greg Engelhardt of Maiden, step-grandson, Jason Smith of Charlotte, Ann Engelhardt Taylor and husband Richard of Maiden, Mary Engelhardt of Maiden and great-granddaughter of Khloe Taylor of Maiden. She is also survived by brothers Donald and Brian and sisters Joyce, Betty, Ann, Kate, Joan, Francis, and Diane. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved children; son Dennis Engelhardt and daughter Donna Marie Engelhardt, brothers Jack and Peter and sister Patty. The family would like to thank the staff of Cardinal Care and Rehab who helped her live her life in dignity and love. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 pm on Saturday at Warlick Funeral Home.
