Obituaries

Hilda Corrine Gantt Gilbert, age 72, of 303 Rock Creek Drive in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Hollybrook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 pm prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gilbert was born June 23, 1940 in Lincoln County to the late B.G. and Mille Beam Gantt.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Farrell Gilbert, a brother, Ben Gantt, and a sister, Lahree Powell.  She worked as a hairdresser. 

She is survived by a son, Steven Gilbert of Destin, FL; a daughter, Sandi Williams and husband Bobbie of Lincolnton; a brother, MaTha Gantt of Vale; three sisters, Virginia Foster, Shirley Hull and Linda Adams, all of Vale; a brother, Wayne Gantt of Vale; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
