Obituaries

Larry Dean Colvard, age 65, of 502 Horseshoe Lake Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, May 13, 2013.

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Colvard was born January 3, 1948 in Lincoln County to the late J.B. Colvard Sr. and Virginia Reynolds Colvard.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a stepson, Charlie Crowder, a sister, Joyce Colvard, and two brothers, Donald Lee Colvard and Eddie Colvard. He was the owner of The Car Shop. 

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cody Colvard of the home; two daughters, Shelly Lovelace and husband Harold and Hope Lankford and husband Robbie, all of Cherryville; three brothers, Jewel Lee Colvard and wife Susan and Bobby Ray Colvard and wife Kawna, all of Lincolnton, and J.B. “Babe” Colvard, Jr. and wife Revonda of Taylorsville; a sister, Jeannie Colvard Cherry and husband Randy of Lincolnton; sister-in-law Shirley Cody Dellinger and husband Bud of Crouse; and a grandson, Cameron Lovelace and fiancée Jeannie Zazzarino, both of Mooresville.
