Obituaries

Julia Tillman Anthony, age 79, of 1313 Old Mill Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Judy Eurey and Rev. Charles Stevens officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Anthony was born October 26, 1933 in Gaston County to the late James Everette and Allie Ford Tillman.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Anthony, a brother Ben Tillman, and a sister Hazel Black.  She worked as an administrative assistant for Sunoco Products.

Mrs. Anthony is survived by two daughters, Louann McNeilly and husband Doug of Polkville and Joy Anderson and husband Lee of Morganton; five grandchildren, Blake and Brett McNeilly, Chelsea, Courtney, and Colby Anderson; nephews, Doug Black and Danny Black; sister-in-law Betty Tillman; and nieces Lisa Adams and Benette Sutton.
