Obituaries

Mrs. Minnie Lee Chapman Dyson Cronland, age 94, of 3836 Asbury Church Road, Lincolnton died Sunday, May 19, 2013.

Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Anita Sain officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Cronland was born on March 3, 1919 in Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late John Albert Chapman and Mary Lou Elmore Chapman.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Dyson, Sr., her second husband, R.B. Cronland, Jr., two brothers, Johnny Chapman and Yates Chapman and three sisters, Annie Mae Smith, Irene Cox and Edna Smith.

Mrs. Cronland is survived by one son, Robert Dyson of Lincolnton; one daughter, Lou Ann Lynn and husband, David G. Lynn of Denver, NC; one brother, George A. Chapman and wife, Willie Mae Chapman of Lincolnton; daughter-in-law, Myna Cronland and husband, Rick Cronland of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Brent Dyson and wife, Amy Dyson of Lincolnton, Jason B. Lynn and wife, JoAnna Lynn of Harrisburg, NC; Rickard Cronland and wife Sonya Cronland of Gastonia and Roderick Cronland of Lincolnton; six great-grandchildren, Nick Dyson, Will Dyson, Griffin Lynn, Jaxon Lynn, R.B. Cronland and Caroline Cronland.
