Obituaries

Susan Eileen Houser Armstrong, age 88, of 782 Armstrong Farm Way in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, May 19, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Daniels Lutheran Church with Rev. Ted Bost officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall from 12:45 until 1:45 prior to the service.

Mrs. Armstrong was born June 2, 1924 in Cleveland County to the late Daniel Grier and Hattie Houser. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Allen Armstrong and a son, Joel Ray Armstrong. Mrs. Armstrong worked as an accountant for Custom Transport.

She is survived by a daughter, Susanne Armstrong Barbee of High Point; a son, Allen Edward Armstrong of Lincolnton; one sister, Nevert Reep of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Allen Ray Armstrong, Katie Barbee, H.W. Barbee, and Stephanie Armstrong; and one great-grandchild, Chloe Barbee.
