Obituaries

Celeste Carter Smith, age 40, of Lincolnton went home to be with her Lord and mama, Willa Sue Eastridge Sain, on Monday, May 27, 2013.  She was born on March 1, 1973 in Gaston County.

Celeste was one of the truly special people in this world with a huge heart and compassion for others.  She was never judgmental of others regardless of who they were or where they were from.  Celeste loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and helped others strengthen their faith through her words and actions.  Anyone who met her and felt her love will always remember her.

Celeste had a deep love for her son Seth Smith and granddaughter Chloe Marie Sue Smith as well as her “kiddos” Katie Morrison and Ashley Stager all of Lincolnton.  Additionally she is survived by her husband, Marty Smith of Lincolnton; two brothers Danny Eastridge, his wife Wendy and children Evan, Trevor, and Zoey of Lincolnton and Bobby Eastridge, his wife Melissa and children Brittany and Ashley of Berwind, WV, her step father Jim Sain of Lincolnton, and her special friend Michael Wyant of Newton.

Funeral services for Celeste will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 2, 2013 in the chapel of Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton with Rev. Brandon Blair officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church cemetery in Lincolnton.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Warlick Funeral Home.
