Mrs. Daphine Florence Hoyle Houser, age 90, of North Grove Street, Lincolnton died Sunday, June 02, 2013.
Her funeral will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Mike Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the North Wing of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton.
Mrs. Houser was born on July 5, 1922 in Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Joshua Hillard Hoyle and Myrtle Baxter Hoyle. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, George Hoyle and Jim Hoyle. She retired after 26 years as the Activity Coordinator for Carolina Care in Cherryville, N.C., was very active in the BPW of Lincolnton and was also an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Houser is survived by her daughter, Judy Houser Jones and husband, Tom Jones of Kings Mountain, NC; one brother, Kenneth Hoyle of Chapel Hill and one grandson, Matthew F. Jones of Brooklyn, NY.
