Obituaries

Mrs. Lottie Prue Leatherman Johnson, age 86, of 6279 Leatherman Road in Vale, died on Thursday, June 6, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor John Locke and Pastor Robert Sain officiating. Her body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson was born May 10, 1927 in Lincoln County to the late Austin and Georgia Heavner Leatherman.  Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband Farrell Johnson of the home; two sons, Ronald Johnson and wife Patricia and Steve Johnson and wife April, all of Vale; two brothers, Floyd Leatherman of Newton, Marvin Leatherman of Lincolnton; two sisters, Edith Sigmon of Conover and Rachel Parlier of Maiden; four grandchildren, Sherrie Davis and husband Randall, Brad Johnson, Allison Johnson and Chandler Johnson.
