Mrs. Iris Blankenship Bradley, age 82, formerly of Mirror Lake Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, June 11, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at First Baptist Church of High Shoals with Rev. Doug McClain and Rev. Charles Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Bradley was born April 27, 1931 in Lincoln County to the late Dennis E. and Bessie Ellis Blankenship. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband George Richard Bradley and a sister Lavonne Greene.  Mrs. Bradley retired as a seamstress and was a well known AVON representative. 

Survivors include three sons, George Richard Bradley, Jr. and wife Ailene, Robert Scott Bradley and wife Sharon and Greg Bradley and wife Cindy, all of Lincolnton; one brother, Bobby E. Blankenship and wife Joann of Mt. Holly; seven grandchildren, Kristy Edwards and husband Dawson, David Bradley, Hollan Delany and husband Matthew, Kendal Bradley and fiancé Zack Gibson, and Preston Bradley, Jeremiah McConnell and wife April, Nathan McConnell and wife Rebekah; six greatgrandchildren.
