Obituaries

Mrs. Barbara Ann Seeker Davis, age 80, of Highway 73, Iron Station died on June 21, 2013 at Kindred Nursing Center of Lincolnton. 

Her funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. G.W. Horne officiating.  Burial will be in the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. Monday at Sharon Baptist Church.

Mrs. Davis was born on March 25, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Hubert G. Seeker and Marcella Newcomb Seeker.  She retired from Cochrane Furniture in Lincolnton and also worked with people through Home Health. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Davis of the home; three sons, Steve Davis and wife, Joy of Lincolnton, Mike Davis of Iron Station, David Davis and wife, Wanda of Perry, GA; one daughter, Shelly Rudisill and husband, Rick of Iron Station; one brother, Jack Seeker of Concord; one sister, Nancy DeLong of Ohio; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
