Obituaries

Ethel Caldwell Payseur, age 89, of Cardinal Health Care and Rehabilitation, died on Saturday, August 3, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Long Shoals Wesleyan Church with Rev. John Mann and Rev. Ron Haithcock officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pisgah United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 pm prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Payseur was born July 25, 1924 in Lincoln County to the late George and Ida Pate Caldwell.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Payseur and a son, Donnis Payseur. She worked as a hairstylist for over 50 years.

She is survived by a sister, Hazel Freeman of Long Shoals; daughter-in-law, LaDonna S. Payseur of Long Shoals; two grandchildren, Scott Payseur and wife Kimberly, and Nicole Payseur; four great-grandchildren, Holden Payseur, Kamron Payseur, Maris Payseur, and Kerrington Payseur; and a niece, Sybil Stewart.
