Obituaries

Juanita Christopher Caldwell, age 72, of 194 Plum Lane in Lincolnton, died on Monday, August 12, 2013.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Long Shoals Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Gibson officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 until 6:30 pm at Warlick Funeral Home.

Ms. Caldwell was born January 28, 1941 in Lincoln County to the late Rev. Samuel Bruce Christopher and Clevie Yarbrough Christopher. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lisa King and Frances Pugh.   Ms. Caldwell worked in textiles.

She is survived by three sons, Benny Caldwell and wife Dana of Sorrento, FL, David Caldwell of Lincolnton, and James Caldwell and wife Betty of Hudson, NC; one daughter, Neda Massey and husband Jackie of Rock Hill, SC; one brother, Billy Christopher and wife Sally of Lincolnton; three sisters, Carole Branning of Port Orange, FL, Beulah Carringer and husband Kent of Bogue, NC, and Martha Sue McNeill of Baden Lake, NC; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
