Obituaries

Mrs. Dorothy Workman Carpenter, age 92, of Vale, died on Friday, August 23, 2013.

A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Kevin Miller on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 2:00 at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery.

Mrs. Carpenter was born in Vale, NC on July 16, 1921, daughter of the late W.T. and Ellen Freeman Workman.  She graduated from Union High School.  Mrs. Carpenter was a dedicated wife and was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Carpenter.  She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Carpenter is survived by nieces and nephews.
