Obituaries

Clara Emily Boyles Raines, age 36, of 668 Story Woods Road in Lincolnton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2013.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Kathy McAbee officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:45 pm prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Raines was born January 11, 1977 in Wharton, Texas to Allen and Debbie Boyles.  She was a housewife. 

Emily is survived by her husband, James Kenneth Raines of the home; two daughters, Jennifer and Becky Raines of the home; her parents, Allen and Debbie Boyles of Rural Retreat, VA; sister, Jessica Potts and husband Tony of Lincolnton; sister, Laura Curry and husband Tim of Jacksonville, FL; nieces, Natalee Drawdy and Lydia Potts, both of Lincolnton; nephew, Davion Hickson of Jacksonville, FL; grandmother, Shirley Smith of Lincolnton; and aunts, Edith Dellinger of Lincolnton, Suzette Holbrooks of Denver, NC and Linda Cathcart and husband Dennis of Sarasota, FL. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church Storehouse Fund, 520 S. Madison Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
