Mr. Richard L. Kennedy, age 81, of 12 Stone Meadow Road, Greenville, SC died Monday, September 16, 2013.
His funeral will be 6:30 pm on Thursday, September 19, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Myron Williams and Rev. Dr. Tony Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 6:15 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home. Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, September 20, 2013 at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte. A memorial service will also be held at Morningside Baptist Church in Greenville, SC at 2:00 pm Monday, September 30, 2013.
Mr. Kennedy was born on March 14, 1932 in Fitzgerald, Georgia and was the son of the late Edward J. and Marguerite Garcia Kennedy. He was retired from Kennedy & Wulfhorst Law Firm in Denver, NC.
Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Sarah G. Kennedy of the home; two sons, Richard L. Kennedy, Jr. of Charlotte, and Bryan S. Kennedy and wife Lisa G. Kennedy of Wilmington; and one granddaughter, Kendall Kennedy.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of one’s choice.
