Mrs. Naomi “Duck” Rhyne Ramsey, age 95, of the Brian Center in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, September 17, 2013.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Judy Eurey officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church.
Naomi was born April 18, 1918 in Lincoln County to the late William Thomas and Sarah Ann Rash Rhyne. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude “Shorty” Charles Ramsey, sisters Flossie Loftin, Grace Leonhardt, Verna Beal, Mildred Whitesides, and Ernest Gates, and brothers Floyd Rhyne and Wilson Rhyne. She retired from J.P. Stevens Company where she worked as a winder. Naomi loved her church and her family.
She is survived by a number of much loved nieces and nephews.
