Obituaries

Mrs. Blonnie Lucille Speagle Scronce, age 90, of 3122 June Bug Road, Vale, NC died Saturday, October 26, 2013.

Her funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Daniel’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Lewis Murdock officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral at Daniels Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Scronce was born on November 12, 1922 in Catawba County to the late Samuel Ruffin and Essie Ann Hafner Speagle.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Scronce is survived by three sons, Richard Keith Scronce and wife, Audrey of Vale, Harold Ray Scronce and wife, Donna of Vale and Jeffrey Kevin Scronce of Vale; five daughters, Linda Sue Scronce of Maiden, Carolyn Scronce Whitesides and husband, Sam of Vale, Wanda Scronce McAlister and husband, Ronnie of Lincolnton, Sandra Scronce Wilkinson and husband, Garry of Denver, NC and Mary Ann Scronce Rogers and husband, Don of Clover, SC; one brother, Fred L. Speagle and wife, Pansy of Vale; two sisters, Charlotte Speagle Royal of Greensboro and Faye Speagle Hoke of Newton; one sister-in-law, Becky Speagle of Hickory;  thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Daniel’s Lutheran Church, 3290 Reepsville Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
