Obituaries

Peggy Lou Willis Petrea, age 63, of 7198 Ed Willis Road in Vale, died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 am on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Hulls Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus Redding officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service.  Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Hulls Grove Baptist Church.

Peggy was born April 19, 1950 in Lincoln County to the late LeeRoy and Inez Willis Willis.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Riley Petrea.   She worked as a custodian for Lincoln County Schools. 

She is survived by two sons, Scott Costner and Jeff Costner and wife Loretta, all of Vale; two brothers, Eddie Willis of Cherryville and Larry Willis of Vale; mother, Inez Willis of Vale; three sisters, Carolyn Turner, Catherine Burton, and Linda May, all of Vale; and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hulls Grove Baptist Church, 6263 W. Highway 27, Vale, NC  28168.
