Obituaries

Mr. Charles Carlos Crowell, Jr. of Lincolnton died on Saturday, November 9, 2013.

His funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2013 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Wyant officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery.

Mr. Crowell was born on January 31, 1928 in Lincoln County to the late Charles Carlos and Mamie Lineberger Crowell, Sr.  Prior to becoming the owner of Crowell Sales and Service Propane Gas, he was owner of Triple C Farms, dairy.  Mr. Crowell enjoyed woodworking after his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Padgett Crowell of the home; two sons, Charles Carlos Crowell, III, MD and wife, Ann of High Point, Robert Lee Crowell and special friend, Katherine Marx of Boone; one daughter, Libby C. Cline and husband, Mike of Lincolnton; three sisters, Doris Spearman of Greensboro, Emily Childs of Newton and Nancy Ramsey of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Charles C. Crowell, IV and wife, Julie, Walton Daniel Crowell and wife, Anne, Micah Elizabeth Cline and fiancé, Derek Exoo, and Matthew Todd Cline, MD and wife, Meghan; three great-grandchildren, Charles C. Crowell, V, Cate Lavelle Crowell and Bowen Michael Cline.
