Bertha Venetta Petty Flowers age 79, of 2806 Sorrells Baxter Road in Cherryville, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at home.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Rev, Mack Pace will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home. Burial will be at Reepsville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Flowers was born August 20, 1934 in Gaston County. She was preceded in death by her parents Jess and Ola Helms Petty, and husband Edgar Flowers. She was a homemaker. Bertha loved her ducks and grandkids.

Survivors include two sons, James Flowers of Cherryville, Melvin Flowers and wife Mary of Cherryville; two daughters, Geraldine Pace of Cherryville, Dianne Coffey and husband Billy of Vale; grandchildren, Jason Flowers, Joseph Flowers, Mark Flowers, Christina Flowers, Chris davenport, Teresa Pope and Lisa Wright; twenty-two great grandchildren.
