Obituaries

Mr. Billy Gene Keever, age 84, of 316 Southside Church Road, Lincolnton died Sunday, December 08, 2013.

His funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Leland Stephens and Rev. Charles Ingle officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral at Southside Baptist Church.

Mr. Keever was born on October 31, 1929 in Lincoln County to the late John F. and Bessie Johnson Keever. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Keever, a sister, Natha Lee Meeks and his step-mother, Nancy Sain Keever.  Mr. Keever was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from Hickory Auto Parts as a supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Kale Keever of the home; one daughter, LaDonna Michael and husband, Hugh of Iron Station; three brothers, David Keever and wife, Elaine of Cherryville, Larry  Keever and wife, Ann of Lincolnton, Jerry Keever and wife, Maxine of Lincolnton; three sisters, Alma Robinson of Lincolnton, Betty Brandenburg of Lincolnton and Pat Houser and husband, Jim of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Jason Michael and wife, Jodi of Rock Hill, SC, and Jake Michael and wife, Marilyn of Stanley; three great-grandchildren, Logan Michael, Chloe Michael and Lucas Michael; sister-in-law, Audry Keever of Lincolnton.
