Obituaries

Mr. Bobby Gene Ward, age 74, of 170 Lake Sylvia Road in Lincolnton passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Massapoag Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Roger Franklin and Rev. Bill Stanley officiating.  The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

Mr. Ward was born February 24, 1939 in Cleveland County to the late John Clint and Alice Hartman Ward.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Kenny Ward; two brothers, Dink Ward and Harry Ward; one sister, Murriel Ward; one grandson, Preston Ward and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Hill.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Lemmons of Lincolnton; one sister, Katie Mapes of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Jennifer Hill, Jessica Lemmons and Justin Ward.
