Mrs. Edith Dean Joines Saunders Busby age 81 of 111 Deaton Ave in Lincolnton died on January 14, 2014.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday January 16, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tom Shumake officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Warlick Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Mrs. Busby was a native of Gaston County born on April 8, 1932, daughter of the late Lindsey and Ellen Beer Joines. Mrs. Busby was preceded in death by her husband Robert Saunders and one brother Barney Joines. She was a retired textile employee.

Survivors include: two daughters Dale Ritz and husband Joe of Fort Mill S.C. and Diane Baker and husband Richard of Lattimore, N.C.; five grandchildren Angie Montuori and husband Perry, Michael Turner, Donna Upchurch and husband Eric, Robert Hutchison and wife Angie, and Krystal Heffner and husband Jimmy; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
