Marilyn Ward Nantz Gray, age 87, of the Brian Center in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly with Rev. Chase White officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm on Friday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Ms. Gray was born May 30, 1926 in Gaston County to the late Robert Hugh and Monnie Queen Ward. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by five brothers, Robert Hugh Ward, Faye Ward, Charles Ward, Keith Ward, and Forrest Ward, and two sisters, Mary Ward Hart and Dorothy Ward Hart. She worked as a beautician.
She is survived by two brothers, Dennis Ward of Iron Station and Bruce Ward of Lincolnton; one sister, Charlene Effird of Kannapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
