Mr. Clarence Ray Stamey, age 84, of Long Shoals Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, January 26, 2014.

His funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ray was born July 3, 1929, in Gaston County to the late P. Frank and Hettie Devinney Stamey. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Rhyne Mosteller Stamey. He worked in textiles.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
