Mr. Howard Auton, age 77, of Charlotte and formerly of Lincolnton, died on Monday, February 17, 2014.
His funeral will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Talbot Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 am on Saturday prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Auton was born on August 4, 1936 in Lincoln County. He was retired from General Tire.
Survivors include one daughter, Dianne Garrison of Gastonia; two sons, Ronald Auton of Lancaster, SC and Lee J. Auton of York, SC; one sister, Polly Wise of Lincolnton; one brother, Carroll Auton of Lincolnton; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
