Obituaries

Mr. Roy Lovelace, Jr. age 72, of 122 Lutz Drive, Dallas, NC died Saturday, March 01, 2014.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at New Faith Baptist Church, Alexis, NC with Rev. Joe Drum officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Lovelace was born on November 21, 1941 in Rutherford County, NC and was the son of the late Roy Lovelace, Sr.. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Bradshaw Lovelace, a daughter, Tammy Engle, one sister, Evelyn Drum and two brothers, Harold Lovelace and Charles Lovelace.

Mr. Lovelace is survived by three sons, Randy Lovelace of Vale, NC, Scott Lovelace of Dallas, NC and Wayne Lovelace of Maiden; two daughters, Lisa Goins of Vale and Karen Connor of Maiden; three brothers, Jack Lovelace of Iron Station, Earl Lovelace of Drexel and William Lovelace of Cherryville; his mother, Patsy Lovelace of Drexel; ten grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
