Mr. Donald “Rick” Ricky Rhyne, age 66, of 319 S. Rhyne Street in Lincolnton, died on Friday, March 14, 2014.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Wyant officiating. Burial will follow in the Gainesville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. in the Philathea classroom prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of his son, Devin Rhyne, 216 N. Oak Street in Lincolnton.

Rick was born October 7, 1947, in Lincoln County to the late Richard and Daphine Elmore Rhyne. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Jane Armstrong Rhyne. Rick was retired from the furniture industry.

He is survived by a son, Devin Rhyne and wife Shelly of Lincolnton; a daughter, Chandra Harris and husband Danny of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Joby Rhyne, Ashleigh Harris, Shaina Harris, and Peyton Harris; and an uncle, Paul Elmore and wife Lanelle of Lincolnton.
