Obituaries

Mr. Billy Bryson, age 58, of 3834 Stoney Creek Drive in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, March 22, 2014.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Stanley Spence officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Bryson was born on September 22, 1955 in the town of Pickens, SC and is the son of Sylvin Edward Bryson of Caser, NC and the late Carolyn Bowen Bryson.  In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a sister Sharon Hart.

Mr. Bryson drove a truck for 30 years and worked at RoadOne Intermodal.  He enjoyed watching the sport of motocross and most anything that had to do with cars and motors..  He loved being outdoors and helping others.  His smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Bryson is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Pope Bryson of the home; one daughter, Carol Powell and husband, Ricky of Mableton, GA; three sons, Mike Bryson and wife, Susan of Maiden, Gary Bryson and fiancée Jesse Propst of Lincolnton and Trent Bryson and wife, Sadye of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren, Ricky and Daniel Powell, Emily and Shelby Bryson, Alyson and Danielle Roberts and Brianna Bryson; four brothers, Edward, Wallace, Terry and Paul and two sisters, Linda and Wanda.
