Obituaries

Mr. Fred Riley Hamrick, age 77, of 3203 Laboratory Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, March 23, 2014.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Leonard’s Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Jaie Warlick officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Fred was born September 14, 1936, in Cleveland county to the late Oscar and Anna Watts Hamrick. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Triolo Hamrick.  He worked in construction.

He is survived by two sons, Frederick “Freddie” Hamrick of Burke county and Leroy Nagy of Percy, CA; four daughters, Francine Hamrick Houser of Lincolnton, Julie Parillo of Vale, Cheryl Petree of Lincolnton, and Darlene McIntyre of Shelby; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie Hamrick of Vale; two sisters, Mary Keil of Wellford, SC and Betty Hager of Bessemer City; and caretakers, granddaughter Helen Hamrick and fiancé Josh Keziah of the home.
