Obituaries

Elaine Huffman Garner, age 71, of 809 Danbrook Circle in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Wyant officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. on Friday in the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Garner was born September 7, 1942, in Catawba County to the late Boyce C. and Antha Mae Gilleland Huffman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, McCoy Huffman.

She is survived by her husband, Max H. Garner of the home; two sons, Max H. Garner, Jr., and wife Debra of Sandy Hook, VA and Marc Garner and wife Angela of Crouse; a daughter, Mollie Garner of Lincolnton; and three grandchildren, Mathew Garner and wife Sarah of Goochland, VA, Brandon Garner of Sandy Hook, VA, and Zack Garner of Crouse.
