Doris Bridges Reese, age 76, of 4331 King Wilkinson Road in Denver, died on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.
Her funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at East Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Drum officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Doris was born February 14, 1938, in Lincoln County to the late Henry and Eugenia Morrison Bridges. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gibbons Reese. She worked as an inspector in textiles.
She is survived by two sons, Edward Reese of Denver and James Reese of Lincolnton; two daughters, Gennie Herron of Iron Station and Mitzi Robinson of Denver; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
