Mr. Nelson Eugene Hamilton, age 73, of 1765 Moose Lane in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014.

A private service will be held with Rev. Michael McAlister officiating.

Mr. Hamilton was born February 8, 1941, in Gaston County to the late Vernon and Helen Smith Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Briggs Hamilton of Lincolnton; a daughter, Deborah Lanier and husband Robert of Lincolnton; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
