Faye Rhyne Crump Ross, age 75, of 272 McAlister Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, May 5, 2014.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Molly Vanderwerken officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Ross was born August 13, 1938, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Harvey and Virginia Rhyne Crump. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Crump and Richard Crump. She worked in textiles.

She is survived by a son, James Robert Ross, Jr. of Lincolnton; a daughter, Katherine Ross Locklin of Lincolnton; two brothers, Harry Crump and Paul Crump, both of Lincolnton; three sisters, Joyce McCurry of Myrtle Beach, SC, Margie Hamrick of Forest City, and Brenda Mathis of Newton; four grandchildren, Jessica Ross Hawn and husband Matthew, Jana Ross, Richard Locklin and wife Summer, and Brandon Locklin; and one great-grandson, Bryan Newton.
