Obituaries

Arthur Milton Stoutland, age 79, of 112 Poillon Avenue in Staten Island, NY, died on Monday, May 19, 2014.

His funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Bigham officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date in Staten Island, NY.

Mr. Stoutland was born August 8, 1934, in Richmond County, NY to the late Peter and Agnes Omdal Sakariassen Stoutland. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Susan Bolick Stoutland, and a granddaughter, Teresa Joan. He retired from the New York Telephone Company where he worked as a technician.

He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Harris and husband Kenneth of Maiden; a brother, Jerry Stoutland of Orwigsburg, PA; a sister, Patricia Stoutland of Lincolnton, NC; and three grandchildren, Robert Harris of Staten Island, NY, Kenneth Colton Harris of Maiden, NC, and Susan Harris of Maiden, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boger City Baptist Church Building Fund, 2201 E. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
