Jimmy Ray Thomas, age 67, of 1025 E. Lincoln Street in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.

His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomas was born September 24, 1946, in Lincoln County, to Ruby Bollinger Thomas and the late John Lewis Thomas. He worked as a knitter.

He is survived by a son, Jamie Ray Thomas of Lincolnton; two brothers, Gene Watkins and Harold Thomas, both of Lincolnton; one sister, Kay Thomas Carrigan of Lincolnton; special niece, Angie Towery of Lincolnton; and special nephews, Michael Thomas of Lincolnton and Ricky Watkins of Bessemer City.
