Obituaries

Mr. Floyd Steven “Steve” Houser, age 66, of 1321 Cedar Grove Church Road in Vale, died on Sunday, May 25, 2014.

His funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Reeps Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Harry Andrews and Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Houser was born April 6, 1948 in Lincoln County to the late Floyd Odell and Inez Wilson Houser.  Mr. Houser was a veteran of the United States Army having served during Vietnam.  He was a commercial building construction supervisor.

Survivors include two sisters, Linda H. Parker of Vale, Judy H. Helms and husband Dean of Vale; nieces and nephews, Karen Parker Sharpe and husband Greg, Billy Helms, Deanna Helms Hardy and husband Shane, Pamela Helms Martin and husband James and great nephew, Garrett Hardy.
