Obituaries

Patricia Ann Keener Garris, age 66, of 2668 Old Wagon Trail, Vale went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 25, 2014.

Her Celebration of Life Service will be 1: 00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Hulls Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus Redding and Rev. Jared Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at Hulls Grove Baptist Church.

Pat was born June 14, 1947, in Lincoln County.  She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Keener and Vertie Tallent.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Rich Garris of the home; two daughters, Donna Virginia Gunter and husband Billy, and Angela Garris Mosteller and husband Monte, all of Vale; two brothers, Noel Keener and wife LouAnn, and Nathan Keener and wife Myra, all of Lincolnton; a sister, Janice Dellinger and husband Carroll Dean of Lincolnton; stepfather, Carl Tallent of Lincolnton; and four grandchildren, Josh Mosteller, Hayley Mosteller, Eric Gunter, and Emily Gunter.

Pat opened her home to all and was a “second mom” to her siblings, nieces, nephews and her children’s friends, as well as, a “Memaw” to her grandchildren’s friends.
