Obituaries

Mr. Marvin Bailey House, age 72, of 1594 Apache Way, Ogden, Utah died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

A memorial service for Mr. House will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 on the grounds of Jackie and Jeff Heinz, 832 S. Grandview Road, Clover, SC 29710.

Mr. House was born on July 4, 1941 in Gastonia, NC.  He lived in Utah for almost 40 years and always considered the South to be his home.  He was preceded in death by his father, Edward House.  Mr. House worked as an attorney at law and also as a pipe fitter in the petroleum refining industry.  Marvin always said, “Jesus loves me and God is my friend.”

He is survived by his wife, Sonnet of Ogden, Utah; one son, Zachary House (Kelly) of Dallas, NC; three brothers, Edward House (Emma) of Lincolnton, Samuel House (Barbara) of Fort Davis, TX, Thomas House (Lisa) of Layton, Utah; his mother, Eva Goforth House of Fort Davis, TX; two grandchildren, Caleb House and Bailey House.
