Obituaries

By the Grace of God, Myrtle Hester Parker, was called to her Heavenly home on June 16, 2014.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at First Baptist Church in High Shoals with Rev. Doug McClain and Rev. Charles Ingle officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow at High Shoals Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Parker was born June 12, 1933, in Gaston County, to the late Gus and Ola Setzer Hester. She was CFO of Parker Fish Company.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Max Parker; her children, Micki Pflugner, Mel Parker, and Melinda Doyle; and her grandchildren, Michael Morrison, Josh Parker, Dusty and Lindsey Pflugner, Tiffany Parker; and one great-grandchild, Ayden Parker.
