Obituaries

Ardie Nevert Houser Reep, age 87, of Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014, at Messiah United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Reep was born October 11, 1926, in Lincoln County, to the late D.G. and Hattie Houser. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ervin Reep, a brother, Harold Houser, and a sister, Susan Armstrong. She was co-owner of Reeps Dairy.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen Crotts and husband Norman of Boone, Erma Deen Hoyle of Lincolnton, and Laura Boozer and husband Mark of Colfax; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Price and fiancé Julie Roberts, Jeremy Price and wife Jessica, Stephanie Dorton and husband Chuck, Megan Blanke and husband Rob, Clayton Boozer, Patrick Boozer, and Brenna Boozer; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Price, Alex Dorton, and Landon Blanke; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lewis and Allene Reep, Margaret Ingle, Jacob and Betsy Reep, Ann Reep, Dean and Ann Reep, Yates and Margaret Reep, and Faye and Dennis Shidal; and many nieces and nephews.
