Mrs. Madge Burch Champion age 81 of 2547 Gastonia Hwy Lincolnton passed away on June 21, 2014.

Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday June 23, 2014 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norman Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends Sunday night at Warlick Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Mrs. Champion was a native of Clay County, born on August 29, 1932 daughter of the late Lyle and Montreat Parker. She was preceded in death by two sons Melvin Burch, and Marvin Burch; two daughters Juanita Burch and Nancy Burch; one grandson Ricky Burch; one brother Tommy Parker; two sisters Francis Hogsed and Betty Hendricks. Mrs. Champion worked as a caregiver before retiring.

Survivors  include: Husband Mickey of the home; one son David Burch of Lincolnton; two daughters Linda Burch and Geneal Patterson of Hayesville N.C.; two sisters Azzlee Ledford of Hayesville N.C. and Lilian Edwards of Hiawassee Ga.; Nineteen grandchildren , fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 95 Old Hwy 64 Hayesville N.C. 28904.
