Marion David Head, age 85, of 3618 Highway 27, East, in Lincolnton, died on Monday, June 23, 2014.
His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Sigmon officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Head was born May 10, 1929, in Hall County, Georgia, to the late Tollie and Susie Self Head. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Hoard Head. He worked as a truck driver and security guard.He is survived by three sons Jesse Head of Charlotte, Michael Head and wife Maria of Lincolnton, and Robert Head of Kansas City, MO; one step-grandson, Jonathan Helms; three grandchildren, David Head, Michelle Head Johnson, and Mary Head Thomas; and five great-grandchildren.
